Toolshed Ministries provides support for homeless, unemployed and/or addicted men, women and at-risk youth. Programming focuses on both emergency and long-term needs and is designed to help men and women break the cycle of poverty, substance abuse and homelessness. Toolshed Ministries is a Christ centered faith based non-profit whose dedicated mission is to root out, pull down and rescue souls from the depths of drug addiction, prostitution and homelessness through Jesus Christ.

National Homeless Estimates: 700,000 per night; 2 million/year.

Approximately 20-25% of the single adult homeless population suffers from some form of severe and persistent mental illness.

Most drug and alcohol addicts never become homeless. However, people who are poor and addicted are clearly at increased risk.

Families are the largest and fastest growing segment of the homeless population.

Over the past seven years, advocates and homeless shelter workers from around the country have received news reports of men, women and even children being harassed, kicked, set on fire, beaten to death, and even decapitated. From 1999 through 2005, there have been 472 acts of violence by housed people, resulting in 169 murders of homeless people.
